Welcome to the Soil and Water Lab in the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Oregon!
The overarching goal of our research program is to help better predict, manage and respond to contaminants that threaten human and environmental health.

We study soil and water processes, using field, laboratory and spectroscopic approaches to understand the sources and fate of contaminants.
Our lab welcomes members, collaborators and visitors regardless of race, religion, gender identification, sexual orientation, age or disability status. It is through diverse perspectives that we see all possible answers to a problem.

The more reflective of society’s diversity the lab is, the better we are.
